Repipe with
Uponor AquaPEX
We use AquaPEX (PEX-a) pipes by Uponor exclusively for all of our PEX repipes. PEX-a pipes are more expensive, yet superior in every way compared to PEX-b and PEX-c pipes. Uponor is a US manufacturer offering a variety of PEX-a pipes for different applications. Their patented ProPEX fitting system uses engineered polymer (EP) or brass fittings and valves. It is the only fitting system offering lead-free installation and connections, that get stronger over time. Uponor PEX pipes are manufactured in Apple Valley, Minnesota since 1990.

Why should I choose OC REPIPES?
We offer an individual approach to every customer, strong work ethic and excellent customer service. We use high-grade PEX and copper pipes. We mitigate dust by building containments around your personal belongings, covering floors and using specialized drywall-cutting machines.
Why do my pipes leak?
If your home is older than 20 years, chances are the pipes reached their life expectancy. The other most common reason is that low-grade pipes, like polybutylene or type M copper, were used in the plumbing of your home. Hard water leads to premature pipe failure and pin hole leaks.
What is a repipe?
Repipe (or re-plumb) is a complete replacement of your interior water supply system. New PEX or copper pipes are routed to every fixture through walls and ceilings.
What is PEX?
PEX is a flexible and durable plastic piping product used for distributing water in residential, commercial and irrigation plumbing systems. PEX is a non-toxic, BPA-free and extremely durable piping product that will not pit, scale or corrode like copper.
Do I need a repipe?
If you are experiencing low water pressure, rusty water coming out of your faucets or had numerous leaks over the last few months (years), repiping your home will save you money and headaches in the long term.
PEX or copper repipe?
We recommend aquaPEX by Uponor to 95% of our customers. With more than 40 years of proven performance and 17 billion feet of Uponor PEX installed worldwide, we are confident in our recommendation. Whenever PEX is not a viable solution, we use high quality, US-made copper pipes and fittings.
How long will the repipe take?
The whole process usually takes 3 to 5 days for a 2 bedroom house or apartment. We will be able to give you a more exact estimate for your particular home after our Free in-home consultation.
Do I need a new water heater too?
The hard water in Orange County takes its toll on the water heater and it usually needs replacement every 10 years or so. Brown-colored hot water, rumbling noise, higher utility bills and leaks around the water heater are the first signs to look out for.
